Opening Day Bash

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17


Opening Day Bash features fun for all and a celebration of the village's 125th anniversary.  Join us at 10 a.m. for the traditional watermelon-cutting ceremony, which  officially opens the market season.  Free attractions include live music, face painting, slices of cold watermelon, games for kids,  cool swag and more.  


June 24

Northbrook Park District Day at the Market

Join us for games, prizes, a market scavenger hunt, really cool swag and more! The Park District knows how to do fun! All free 


August 5

Dog Daze of Summer

Let’s Make It a Paw-Some Day!
Sponsored by our friends at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, please join us for a fun-filled celebration of summer daze and doggies as we support a great cause. Featuring a collection drive for Border Tails Rescue, a local no-kill nonprofit. Bring doggie supplies to  donate, and enjoy games with your pooch. For humans we'll have music,  games, refreshing lemonade, face painting, your questions answered by a professional dog trainer and much more.


August 19

Summer Stock Day

Help us restock food pantry shelves with household cleaning and personal hygiene products such as paper towels, toilet paper,  laundry detergent, dish soap, etc. Cash donations also appreciated. With your generosity we fill a pickup truck!


October 14

Closing Day Bash & Li'l Pumpkins

Our annual end-of-season celebration features free pumpkin decorating for tots, hot apple cider, and a $cavenger hunt throughout the morning. It's your last chance to stock up on all kinds of great food, seasonal decorations, and get a head start on your holiday gift shopping for those special people in your life.

A Community Gather Place Where Good Things are Happening


  • Operated by Northbrook Farmers Market Association, an all volunteer nonprofit , tax-exempt organization.


  • Our Mission is to support local farmers and artisans by providing an economic outlet, and to serve the Northbrook community by making available for purchase fresh, high-quality produce and other locally made goods for the benefit of all. 


  • Our Goal is to educate residents on the benefits of buying local, eating healthy, and living green.

Become an Onion Head

Friends of Northbrook Farmers Market (aka Onion Heads) is a partnering group of enthusiasts who volunteer to promote the market and its mission and goals. Volunteer as much or as little as you wish! Fill out the Membership Form by clicking below to become an official Onion Head.  It's really easy! 

Onion Heads "duties" include planning programs, helping out at Special Event Days, and spreading  the word about our wonderful farmers market.
